What’s up guys, welcome to another one of my blogs.

10/30-11/4

This week was packed with a lot stuff. The week was called missionary week for our ministry, because there were missionaries that came to our ministry from London from America, and from Guatemala to help out with our ministry. Are we both a lot different this week than a lot of the other weeks because the people that came from London raise a lot of money to get water filters for everybody in the three villages that we work at so a lot of this week was handing out filters and playing new games with the Guatemalan kids and they had never played before. For example, they started playing ping-pong and basketball and just stuff like that that they haven’t paid before in their life and we get the privilege and opportunity to teach them. It was really cool to meet the people from London because they had a lot of cool things to say, and they were just cool people  with really cool accents. Also, Tuesday night we got to spend the night at the reindom house with a ministry host, Iván. That was so much fun because it was Halloween night and for Halloween, the Guatemalans do a big festival in the city of sumpango. It was like a fair going all night, long into the next day, which, then they celebrate the Day of the dead. Ivan took us to tour the city of sumpango during the night which is really fun because he took us to a big field where they make like 12 foot kites that they usually fly on the day of the dead. Sadly, it was raining and the kites are all made out of like Chinese paper so they weren’t but I need to gather and they actually canceled the kite flight, but it was still cool to walk around. Wednesday we went out again into the streets to buy food, and we also went to the cemetery where everybody was because they were all celebrating the Day of the dead. It honestly was kind of sad to see everybody in the cemetery dressing all the grave stones because there was just so much hopelessness found there and it was just sad to see all these people that were lost. Our ministry hosts  made their house into a mini restaurant and use that to raise funds for their ministry. That was really fun to be a part of as well.nothing too crazy happened the rest of the week other than we just kept handing out water filters and we also made bunkbeds for some of the houses. I also got to try a couple new fruit for the first time like guava and a couple other fruit that I have no idea what they’re called.

On Friday, we headed to Lake Atitlan where we stayed at an Airbnb till Monday. On Saturday, me and a couple of my friends went cliff, jumping and toward the lake by boat. This lake was so awesome because it was surrounded by like 4 or 5 volcanoes. We also did a little bit of hiking and exploring.

11/5-11/12

On Sunday we did a lot of exploring with everybody that was at the lake. We went to a couple towns around the lake and explore those cities. We went to Hot Springs and went swimming close there. We also ate at some pretty cool places. They were pretty cool until my whole team got food poisoning and we threw up a lot and all got sick. This was the most miserable I’ve been since I’ve been on the race. That night before all of us got sick we did some street evangelism which is always so fun. I got to talk, or I tried to talk, to this one guy who looked pretty homeless but also at the same time there was something different about him. It was a really weird interaction because I bought him some food and as soon as he got food, he tore open and just ate it with so much “force”. I tried asking him about his day and everything but whenever I would talk to him or when I was just right by him, he was always looking the other way. If I would move to one side, he would look toward the other side, and vice versa. Looking back I really wish I could’ve helped this guy out more, I don’t know what that looks like, but I could just tell that he was just so broken and needed so much more joy and his life. Anyhow, we talk to a couple other guys and share the gospel with them and then we headed back to our Airbnb.

Monday, me and some of my teammates just stayed at the Airbnb till we had to leave because we weren’t feeling good and then we left back for the base that night. Also, Tuesday I stayed back from ministry because I really was not feeling good at all. Wednesday we had the kings table again, which is always fun because I love inviting the homeless and the people that just can’t really make it to a table where we get to feed them and just give them the good news of what Christ has done, and just to talk to them. Thursday was activation day and the five fold ministry we talked about this time was prophetic. I had always thought that prophetic meant for telling the future and everything but then we were taught a prophetic isn’t just about the future prophetic is telling someone else what the Lord tells you about that encourages them in their walk with Him. It makes a lot more sense now that all of us can walk in the prophetic ministry, when we hear from the Holy Spirit to speak a word over someone else’s life, whether that’s happening now, or in the future that we can do that and walk in the prophetic and be obedient to Christ. So for the activation, we went to parramos, and were told more to focus on asking the Lord what he has for this person or this person or this person. The Lord has something for every person because he knows each of them by name. We were able to talk to about three people and two of them said they were Christians and so we just encourage them in their faith and that pray for them and then this other guy said that his family was Christian but he just went away from that and he didn’t really want to be a part of that so one of the people that lives down here scheduled a time to meet up with him later and just talk to him and just be his friend. He said that he doesn’t really have any friends And that he didn’t really want any either which is so sad because I could not imagine life without any friends. Then we got to invite this other guy to worship night which happened Thursday night where we went to the coffee shop and worshiped there. Friday was a pretty normal day and so was Saturday with the VBS is in the three different villages. And then this morning we went to McDonald’s because it is so much better in Guatemala and so much better for you and we got to experience hitch hiking. I was a little sketched out but this guy said get in the back of a truck and I’ll take you there so we did, and yeah that’s all I have.

Thanks again guys for your prayers and I know that I said this in my last blog but if you could be praying for my squad’s health, that would be awesome. There were quite a few people that got diagnosed with mono and other people have been just throwing up and not being good.

Also, we are doing a go fund me page for our ministry, they need a couple things done to their house, like a railing and a new drainage system and a couple other things so if you would like to learn more about that you can text me or also on the go fund me page it says a little bit more about it. It would be greatly appreciated by me and my friends, who are trying to get it together and buy a ministry house if you feel led to give, but also prayers for that would be great as well. Here’s the link to the go fund me page.https://www.gofundme.com/f/reindom-house-in-santamartamember=30534787&sharetype=teams&utm_campaign=p_na+share-sheet&utm_medium=more&utm_source=customer
